Hello Classmates, always when i talk with my percussion mates, we discuses a lot about which it's the orchestra that we like or haves the best sound, because in percussion and timpani section it could many schools of sound. i remember many times my teacher told me that there are two big schools of sound in the world of orchestra, and it could be the American School or German School, and it's something very difficult to describe because in something of taste it's nothing written. So today i want to talk about Cloyd Duff, he's one of the best timpanist of the Cleveland Orchestra in the 20th century, and he's represent the american school of sound. it's a very charming man when he play the timpanist and made me believe that percussion it's no only strike or punch a drum, it's made a intellectual work to make sang the drums....  Here you can see make singing the timpanis, it such a miracle…. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYnRnHPXzcc
When I was in the fourth year of the musical interpretation career, I was still afraid or ashamed to play in front of the audience, and over time I had realized that fear never disappears, in fact even the greatest performers of music recognize the fear on stage, however we can do something to feel more confident on stage. So I made the decision to do an intervention in a public place to lose my fear or scenic panic, and laugh at myself. When I was a child I had always heard that to give a speech I had to imagine people in their underwear. So one day I decided to take a walk to the university block only in shorts to feel ashamed, people shouted words without meaning, they never hurt me because deep down I knew that the things they said did not represent me, I enjoyed it too much .. ... This helped me a lot to realize that beyond the embarrassment on the stage nothing bad could happen.

welcome to another episode of"el giocos" today i want talk about phothographs, actually i think that the people lost the respect for the photograph because with the new age of digital cameras it's too easy take a lot of pictures, but in the past it was a kind of rite for my ancestors. With the analogyc cameras there's only 36 oportunities for take a moment and make it a extention from the past, this people aprecciate more the moments and it makes me sad know that this rite it's only a thing of past days..... so today i wanna show you one of the most beautiful pictures for me... I don't know who took this photograph, i have a copy in my house, in this picture we can see poverty little childs smiling in the middle of the years 1930 in Santiago periphery, It moves me, because although they live in misery, their smiles are something that nobody can take. In spite of everything they were happy and this make me think that we no need much things to be happy...
